CLOSENUF TO INSPIRE?
DATELINE: December 1st, 2015 – BROOKLYN, NY – CLOSENUF’S ANTHONY J. FOTI HAS COMPOSITIONS RELEASED BY INTERNATIONAL EVANGELIST CHILDREN’S COMPANY
Fans & followers of CLOSENUF have questioned the band’s late 2015 into early 2016 hiatus from touring or recording & besides preparation of the new spring 2016 show with some new additions to the line-up - founder, lead vocalist & songwriter of the rock band, Anthony J. Foti, has been occupied on projects outside the act which are quite time consuming as well as a sincere departure. Foti, besides his work with CLOSENUF & being the President of Wreckords Records, is a professional graphic designer & Creative Director for an Evangelist children’s company out of Brooklyn’s Bedstuy Area called Loveable Lola, LLC. The company creates & markets cartoon doggie characters that spread positive inspirational messages through “Tail & Song.” The lead character for the company is Loveable Lola, based on the real-life boxer owned by NYC restaurateur Ann Nasary. Lola was a rescue from an abusive owner only to become a pillar of strength for the family in their times of crises. This adorable doggie, a true-life story of rescue & salvation, is now brought back to life as a pop-culture character to be an inspiration to all. The company has its own record label, King’s Daughters Records, which released the character’s 1st full-length studio album “Songs To Love,” which dropped officially worldwide Dec. 1st, 2015. The album of wholesome family material features 10 uplifting songs for children of all ages. The project acquired top notch talent for the release including NYC cutting edge music producer Nick Price (VH1, Wu Tang Clan), prolific songwriter (penning half the album), multi-instrumentalist & current guitarist for CLOSENUF - Paul Lawrence, & professional figure skater / voiceover actress Ashley Durand, all in addition to award winning singer/songwriter Foti, who penned the other half of the release in addition to vocal, percussion, production & arrangement duties. Foti’s compositions include “It’s Playtime,” “Let’s Go To The Beach,” “Lola Around The World, “ & “Lola’s Life Lessons,” whose original demo treatments to court the record label were crafted with the assistance of guitarist William Seyfried & bassist / percussionist Rick Troise (both CLOSENUF alumni 2011-2015). The songs are available for download everywhere or on CD, plus, in conjunction with Sharpshooter Pictures (produced & directed by Adam Watstein), all songs have been provided the most charming mixed media video treatment, which can be downloaded digitally or on DVD as “Songs To Love – The Video Album,” for which Foti also contributed to video editing & package design. Loveable Lola, LLC is wholly owned by Ann Nasary Ministries, Inc., a 501(c)(3) where sales of products are scheduled to be allocated for such charitable endeavors as helping the poor, the needy, orphans & widows, as well as helping abused & neglected animals. Foti & Lawrence, who are taking no proceeds for their work on the project, turning all royalties over to charity, also compose as a team for which they have co-penned Lola’s pre-album free teaser single for the 2015 holiday season, “I Sure Hope Santa Speaks Doggie,” viewable on YouTube via a video directed & produced by Foti (https://YouTube/ISureHopeSantaSpeaksDoggie). The company proudly launches Lola to the kids as a new cartoon character suitable for all sans the language, sexuality & violence purveying so much of today’s entertainment. The rock band being a family friendly act as well as Wreckords Records being a drug-free record label, Foti is very proud to be affiliated with this inspirational project & urges all to get CLOSENUF to Loveable Lola today!

CLOSENUF TO THE MOVIES, TV
DATELINE: January 28th, 2015 – NEW YORK, NY - CLOSENUF in Negotiations for Rights & Clearances to Solicit Music for Film & TV usage, as well as a Distribution Deal!
Wreckords Records Inc. continues its relationship with The Jacobson Firm whom they have been working with since 1996. The firm’s founder Jeffery E. Jacobson, Esq. is one of the top NYC entertainment attorneys with clients from Toni Braxton to Mick Taylor to David Cassidy to the late Johnny Winter. During their latest endeavors spanning the 2014-2015 season while the band’s touring was on hiatus, Jacobson has been in negotiation (since Sept 2014) with the Marco Island, Florida firm DSM Producers, Inc. who licenses tunes to TV & Movie Studios for commercial use. They are specifically courting the CLOSENUF instrumental “Universe” (on which Anthony J. Foti plays all keyboards) to solicit to stations like SyFy or NatGeo for use in shows regarding space or the paranormal. Hot off getting airplay for their clients on “The Big Bang Theory,” DSM is currently on the top of the entertainment industry’s radar.
In addition, Jacobson is also in negotiations (since Jan 2015) with Arabesque Recordings, LLC, a Rye Brook, NY firm who distributes via online catalogue “specialty media.” The Record Company has been keeping alive higher forms of music to niche listeners from classical to jazz to holiday & more for almost 40 years. CLOSENUF being new music written in the style of the 1960s-1970s classic rock genre makes the act a great fit for their “contemporary artists” catalogue. The Jacobson Firm will have to review the complex Distribution Deal posed by this firm before all is finalized. Whether or not these relationships continue to move forward, we cannot be more proud to be validated once again by such industry professionals, as we won't stop until we are CLOSENUF to all forms of media!

CLOSENUF to an IMMIE?
DATELINE: July 27th, 2006 - PHILADELPHIA, PA - CLOSENUF Nominated for a 2006 IMMIE Award!!
Wreckords Records is proud to announce that on 7/27/06, The Independent Music Conference Committee has nominated CLOSENUF for the 2006 IMMIE Award (Independent Music Award) for Best Indie Music Video of the Year for "Difference" (track 11 on their debut album). Thousands of applicants nationwide were narrowed down to the four final nominees, greatly improving the New York based act's chances for victory. The members of CLOSENUF, and their label, wish to thank all those who assisted in the production of this video, especially Director Wayne Olsen and Cinematographer Harold Olsen, and feel honored just to be nominated, as well as recognized by the IMC for their achievements. The IMC06 will take place this year 8/30-9/4/06 with the IMMIES being awarded Thursday evening, 8/31/06 and a special live performance by CLOSENUF as nominees of the conference Saturday night, 9/2/06 at the Sheraton Society Hill Center in Philadelphia, PA. Perhaps the "Not Too Far" tour tagline may need updating? Ah, what a difference a nomination makes! During the event, due to the Conference's scheduling error, CLOSENUF's own Hank McDonagh was called in to run the soundboard for the Saturday night concert. Kudos to Hank for a job well done and saving the day! Their live performance Saturday was quite well received by their peers, and the following Sunday, the IMC's Review Discourse Session Panel unanimously declared "Difference" to be a hit single once the masses are exposed to it. Also, Adam Vicelich and Anthony J. Foti were interviewed live on Philadelphia radio on Dr. Lou's House of Blues Radio Show on WNJC 1360 AM, and asked to sign clearances for their work to be rebroadcast on 3point Production Group's upcoming documentary on Independent Musicians and their accomplishments, and Anthony's unique look was even featured on the cover of the event's program! We can't thank the IMC enough for the opportunity, enjoyment, and accolades!
